I liked two things in high school: classical piano and creating videos.
Today I create videos about classical piano for a living. I guess I did something right in my 20s after all…
I'm a concert pianist and longtime music educator who has been editing videos for fun since I was 13. I got my bachelor's in piano performance from Rice University and survived 7 years at the Juilliard School and came out the other end with a master's and doctorate in piano.
I've given solo recitals, chamber concerts, and performances with orchestra all over, and also collaborated with some amazing musicians, dancers, actors, artists, comedians along the way. I've taught piano, music theory, aural skills, piano literature, and music history to zoomers, baby boomers, and everyone in between, in private lessons, group classes, Suzuki schools, conservatories, and online forums.
I was lucky to spend four years producing and directing premium video content with some of the greatest living pianists for Tonebase and grew their Piano YouTube channel to more than 150,000 subs. That last gig turned out to be my calling, and as of 2024 I'm excited to be growing a following around my own YouTube channel and building a company dedicated to elevating institutions in the classical music world through content creation.
